John began his career when he joined a corporate broker – Bernard Mc Mahon Insurances in 1991 where upon leaving he held the position of Operations Manager. John then moved to Fingal Insurance Brokers as Account Director until May 2012 when he joined the team in Tysers.

As well as underwriting John is seen as a key contact for our brokers for all their marine and associated requirements.

Brendan commenced his insurance career when he joined Irish National Insurance Company which was later acquired by Zurich Insurance. Upon leaving in 2009 he held the position of Marine Underwriting & Development Manager. In January 2010 Brendan joined the team in Tysers and holds the position of Underwriting & Development Manager.

Brendan is a former Chairman of the Irish Institute of Marine Underwriters and was the Head of Delegation in Vancouver 2008 and in Bruges 2009. Brendan is also a well-known figure in the Irish Insurance market and is a market reference point with respect to Marine insurance.

Aoife commenced her insurance career in 2001 and previously specialised as a Corporate Insurance Broker.  Aoife brings with her a vast experience of many varying industries and their insurance requirements.

Aoife joined the Tysers team as an Underwriter in 2017.

Michael has been adjusting and surveying marine losses since 1981. Michael was a self employed marine surveyor and loss adjuster prior to joining the team in 2019.

Michael is a leading authority in marine losses in Ireland and this knowledge allows Tysers give our brokers a complete service of their Marine requirements right through to the conclusion of claims.

Sandra was admitted as an associate to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland in November 1994. She previously worked in practice and financial services with BNP Paribas and Xerox and operated her own consultancy service before joining the firm in 2015.

Sandra is responsible for the Credit Control, Reporting and Finance functions of Tysers.
